PAPER CONSERVATION

The identification and treatment of various problems that might appear on a paper artifact is a very difficult process due to the sensitivity and the instability of this raw material, often times found in fluctuating environmental conditions, and to its pathogeny to diverse microorganisms.

Paper conservation requires advanced knowledge in the field and adequate experience that will ensure a successful result.

Interventions include conservation, restoration and preservation treatments that strictly follow the most appropriate standards of archival material management.
